I'm looking at buying one for my hubby for Christmas and wanted to know the best kind/size/model and why. He would be using pneumatic tools (wrench, nail gun, etc) and general automotive/construction/repair uses. What is the price range on something like this? Thank you for your help!

Go to Home Depot and tell them what you want. They sell pretty good stuff. Harbor Freight also sells compressors and about everything else in the line of tools. You can find Harbor Freight online and they ship. What is nice about Home Depot you can talk to people who know what they are talking about. I built my own compressor out of a 100 pound propane gas cylinder. I saved a few hundred dollars in doing it. It handles all the air tools and even spray painting.

Buying for your husband? SEARS.Spend about $400.That will get you a med. size unit.If its not big enough he can take it back &get a bigger one. Can't beat CRAFTSMAN for the money.
