It's usually 64oz, but it changes per person due to their level of activity, how much they weigh, what they eat (salty food, caffeine, alcohol, etc.)

A quick way of figuring it out is take your weight and divide by two. I.E. if you weigh 120lbs, you should drink 60oz. if you weigh 200lbs, you should drink 100oz.

Obviously, if you work out or drink lots of coffee, etc. you should drink aditional water.

*note: water can be consumed in some foods and other beverages.

8 glasses of 8 oz. each. But remember that most large household cups actually hold at least 16 ounces, so you would only need to drink 4 of them.

Depends on your weight. You should drink half of your weight in ounces. So if ou weigh 140lbs(10stone) you would drink 70oz=3+1/2pints or 7x10oz glasses.
Keep off caffeine though as it dehydrates you.

I would take "supposed to" with a very large grain of salt. The government health agency recommendation is 8oz of water 8x a day (meaning "water" water, i.e. not coffee, not tea, not soda, etc.) but I wouldn't drink that much water in a year and i'm perfectly healthy.

Eight glasses which is 64 ounces are recommended.

Otherwise your body might turn to dust and blow away in a breeze.
