This is a great question although it is really in two parts, and I don't know why someone has given it the thumbs down.
I joined the services to defend my country (UK) and the rights of those who cannot defend themselves,I did not join up to die but if that happened,at least there was a reason for my death, you do not have to be big and hard to join up because planning and tactics are all part of it,but nobody forced me to join up,and although I am no longer serving in the services I would sign up today if necessary.
On your second question, unfortunately in most battles civilians will be killed, not always by the military action and in the case of Iraq you will see that most civilian casualties are caused by other civilians (suicide killings etc) and not many by unexploded bombs, and in this war we did not use mines however the Iraqi Army did before the war.
I hope this answers your questions.

the different vet suggested she probable had a shunt. until eventually to procure an certainly diagnosis, then you actually nevertheless do no longer comprehend for particular. you would possibly want to be offended on the crappy breeder that bought you this doggy. it is what occurs at the same time as human beings purchase from BYB. they are breeding Chi's smaller and smaller when you consider that it is what human beings want. each and every of the small ones have difficulty holding their blood sugar. it is an basic subject with runty and "teacup" canines. I had a kitten with a shunt years in the past, and it replaced right into a lengthy time period before they clinically determined it. It in basic terms replaced into no longer the first element on the record. and folk do no longer continually opt to spend a ton on diagnostics at the same time as there are issues to attempt first.

So following your theory should all firemen be burned to death? Should policemen expect to be killed in the line of duty? Should coastguards be drowned?
Soldiers get killed in the line of duty, that's a fact of life, it's not soldiers that complain even when the "just cause" behind a war is cheap oil for Americans, it's their families that complain.
How are you attempting to compare the civilian and military deaths in Iraq? Other than they are all being killed by the same people I can't understand how you link the two.

Our armed services are volunteer services, as you know.
Nobody forced them...the volunteers and their families usually come to terms with the risk. Not all realize that they will end up in such a place though, or know how hard it will be when they get there. That's why they don't re-up their contracts.
Others thrive on the risk, and don't mind putting their lives on the line.

I think everyone in the armed forces accept that they may die for their country, but would you want to die in a conflict that doesn't actually threaten this country?

Soldiers fight, I'm sure not for themselves, but for their families and their nation, hoping that their struggle will bring a better life to them in the future. Basically they are acting selfless to protect their, ours, and YOUR well being.

i never heard any of them complain about being forced.....including my son.....they know the risks...its their blood that built this nation and are proud to serve and protect at all cost.
now as far as the mess we are in now...there is no answer...we are to far in now. and as in any war there is always collateral damage. why are we there....simply put....i don't know....bless the ones that are there now....have a great day.

How about tradition, duty, honor, country. Somethings that 99.9% of the anti-war crowd lack.

people in the army always died for their country, it is a duty to do that, it is just unwanted propaganda that Americans die for nothing, they die to preserve freedom
