no you never underline anything in a works cited page

It has been a long time since I did a Bibliography (works cited page) So I looked in a couple of text books. The actual name of the book or journal used was in italics.

A good book to have for these questions is Warriners English Grammer- But to Answer your question, books get underlined, articles go in Italics

underline books, put articles inside quotation marks

The articles in italics answer was right. What format were you told to use? Different formats do citations differently.
