Death is so final and you have to rely on your personal beliefs. Do you think you'll see them again?

I lost my best friend at the end of June and I still feel like my heart is breaking if I think about it too much. I would give almost anything to be able to see him again, and I like to think he is waiting for us somewhere. Maybe I am just trying to comfort myself but I strongly believe that what makes us "us" goes beyond meat and bones and there is a ... spark.. that makes us who we are.

Yes, both of my parents within a year. I know they keep watching (sometimes with slight despair:))) over my doings. Sometimes they have even interfered at a critical moment. I don't have many dreams about them but when I do, it feels like a real visit to their home. I'm sure we'll have a chance to meet for longer when the time is right.

One could only hope, right? What else is there but hope? I hope to see my dad again, but if I don't - I know he sends me signals. Or even if it's just my imagination (is this our way of coping?), I'm good with that too. Long story short, my dad died right after 9/11 while I was going through a high risk pregnancy. It was so high risk in fact, of the 4 times I went to the ER, was not sure if I was still pregnant all those times. Needless to say, he was dying while I was unable to travel thousand of miles away to see him (didn't know at the time he was that bad, being so far away) and when my daughter was born on her due date (almost unheard of for a high risk to carry full term and deliver on due date), she came after 1 hour of labor (not one contraction registered on the machine, thanks to my doula, we knew I was 10 cent. dilated!) of pushing for one solid hour and no pain meds., she was born with a 10/10 apgar score (that's almost unheard of) - meaning she was perfectly healthy - so perfect, she scored a 10/10!! My dad played the angel that day and ever since. I know there is a God in heaven and my dad is somewhere up there with Him looking down (and looking out for) on me and my daughter. I miss him so much, it's not funny. This is my way of remembering him and coping with the one person I think loved me more unconditionally than anyone else in my entire life. The power of love and faith and hope. Best to you.

My youngest brother was killed in an accident almost 11 years ago. Sometimes I just expect him to show up. I'm not sure what I believe about the afterlife but I sure hope to see him again.

No, but, I have had friends lose someone close to them. There is one thing you could to see them but you can't be afraid like they have...it's called out-of-body travel. This practice is a guide to life. Don't say you don't believe this until you try it. There is no need to be religious and no need to believe in it in order to have out-of-body experiences. Adventure Beyond the Body is a great book. Here's a web site that'll lead you.

I see them in my dreams and am grateful for that, at least I get talk to them for a little bit and see their faces again. And hopefully, I will see them again in the afterlife.

well i'm not trying to scare you but i'm asian and we've a different culture over here.
well basically, my aunt and cousin saw her deceased dad on the 7th day of his death and he was returning home with the guarders of hell to pack some stuff. i'm not sure if it was grief, but my baby cousin saw him too and was excited.
so i think we'd prolly be able to see our loved ones again, even if its in our dreams.

Oh of course, most of my family has crossed over and I'm certain they're watching over me as I write and I will see them again if and when I ascend into heaven.
