A major nuisance of static electricity is that many people get unexpected shocks, simply from touching some metal object after walking across the room. There are also some situations where excess static electricity can damage equipment or even pose a danger. It is something you may want to stop or control.

Dangers of Static Electricity:

1. It will cause you severe third degree burns
2. It will stop your breathing and cause your heartbeat rate to be abnormal
3. It will make you paranoid
4. It will give your extreme illness due to electric shock
5. It can cause death

Hi. On a small scale, it damages microcircuits. On a larger scale it causes some fires in gas stations. On an even larger scale check out the Hindenburg zeppelin.

I can think of only one danger and that is it could detonate flammable gas or liquid.
