Really, do I really have to remind you of the *REAL* reason why R&S exists? Please look to the sides of the page where the sponsored links are. QED. Yahoo set up Y!A to allow people to exchange questions and answers to collect eyeballs and get revenue. They don't care whether anything is settled. So long as it generates traffic and people come back and they can charge per-view rates for their ads, that's the real reason why all of this is here. Aside from that it's what we make of it. Yahoo wouldn't close it any more than a casino would close down a craps table with a noisy crowd around it. They'd just ply everyone with food and drinks and comps and keep the whole thing going. The best way to get Yahoo to close this section is simply to stop coming here. It's basic economics.
