Yes. Theres the CIA and the FBI. Yes we know they exist but those places are full of secrets.
I do think there were secret organizations like the knights of templer in the past.

As it mentions at the front of the book, The Priory of Sion did exist and Opus Dei is also a real organisation. It is still running today and has it's own website.

We know that some of it is actual recorded history, It certainly leaves one with a big question regarding the bible and the life of Christ, It definitely hit the vary core of anger in the religious world. I will give religion maybe 50 more years at the most, and then boom! and it will become just another Peace of history in mankind's past.
