The movies are awful, the music is demonic, the only thing ANYONE cares about is sex, what is wrong here, I can't see the world getting any worse!! The sad thing is, I know it will, and please I really don't want to get cussed out for saying this, I wanna see what the world thinks

Society has not changed the media has, it shows us what we are like years ago they didn't have what we have and they were the same but just didn't know it.

Don't get so down. I imagine by today's society you mean modern American Society. As I look at it, things are getting much better. In the past 100 years we have seen the civil rights movement, and womans equal rights. People today are more free to express themselves, so that comes out in a variety of different ways, some which you may dislike and some that you may like. Not all music is demonic, there is plenty of variety (you know back in the 50's simple rock music was considered to be evil and even before that jazz was considered evil). Popular culture has always focused on sex, but look at it this way, people have more sexual freedom than ever before (Gays rights, contraceptives). In the early 1900's if a woman was pregneant she was considered an outcast, now it is socially acceptable and a woman can find support. In the past issues were swept under the rug and ignored while today they are put out on the table to deal with. Be glad we live in such a liberated society! :-)
It seems like you have old school values, and beleive me there are plenty of younger people who think this way too, you just won't see them on MTV. You can still embrace these while respecting popular cultures views. Look a little deeper and I think you'll find plenty of people who share your views.

It's not the world honey. It's America.
Where i come from (caribean island- trinidad and tobago), we are positive people, listen to positive music, we know what we are about and that is what makes us such a happy country.
When i moved to the states, i've never seen so much confused ppl in my life. I've also never seen so many uptight ppl until i came here. society here is so much different from those of other countries. so when something is wrong with this country, it doesn't mean the whole world is like that.
I didn't mean to sound hostile if i did, it's just that americans always think that what ever is happenening in this country is happening in all other countries. America is NOT the world.

I think child abuse, torture, and rape are three of the worst depravities. Our world has the best and the worst examples of human behavior. For every person raped or tortured someone somewhere is helping another person or saving their life.
