And if it did not matter how much it cost.

(P.S. It will be my 40th on 9th November 2007, by the way.
(not trying for any freebies, naturally!) )

A trip somewhere to get away from thinking about turning 40.

I turned 50 this year and realised that I really wanted for very little (don't get the wrong idea - I'm not rich, but compared to many in this world my life is so much better). Anything that my friends or family bought me would simply be tokens and whilst very nice, would not really add much to my life.
So I chose a charity and asked everyone to donate to that instead. I then knew that the money they were spending could really make a difference to somebody's life.
It worked well. We celebrated by going out to supper with my children and some close friends, and it was the best birthday ever!
Have a good one whatever you decide.

Hey my Birthday is November 9th too! A great present would be rafting the Colorado River through Grand Canyon or Kayaking in Baja Mexico!

I don't think there is anything that I could want more than to be healthy and reasonably happy.

To be content with my choices I might make in the next 40 years, and if not, to learn by my mistakes better for the next time.

And healthy of course.

Does that sound too perfect, I guess so, but unfortunately money could never ever give me that.

My family took me on holiday for a week and on the actual day of my birthday they paid for me and my sister to go to a natural water spa and whole body massage. It was child free, relaxing and oh so great. Only problem was the day ended at six and the stress level returned to maximum at 6.30

Happy Birthday when it comes, I would absolutley love a house in the country, in Scotland where I'm from, not a huge house a nice country cottage, if not then a car, not a big fancy one just a wee car to get around in.
