I have a good idea for you- Why don't you tell this story from the perspective of a military recruiter? My brother is one and he is always talking about how difficult it is and how much the world has changed since pre-9-11. We still need a military but everything has changed.
Try giving your local marine or navy or whatever office a call and see if you can interview someone. Then you can write your essay as a sort of "day in the life" and ask the recruiter all of these questions. Since yours will be different and if you take the extra time to interview someone, you are sure to get high marks. Good luck !

i would go with the fact that responsibility comes with freedom.
freedom doesn't come alone.
it always comes with responsibility.
