Lobbyism ceased to exist as soon as it was turned into a pay-to-play corrupt corporate scheme, from when it used to be grass roots. I am a lobbyist, and have been since I started emailing Sens. Clinton and Schumer as well as a few NYS Senators and Reps. Because I can not afford to "pay-to-play" I get crappy emails that are created by some dumb college jerk who didn't even read mine in the first place. Had I sent a fat check, or nice gift with my correspondence, I bet I would receive a real response.
