Depends on what the settlement is. She might bargain for it or give it up for something else.
I think she'd be entitled to part of it, just as he'd be entitled to part of her's because it's an asset that was accumulated during the marriage.
You'd really need to discuss it with a divorce attorney.

Check with your state laws,in my homestate I can collect some of my ex's social security benefits when he dies eventhough he has remarried.
