I'm not sure I understand your question but I'll give it a shot:
Not everyone is Christian, dear. People are close to their own Gods in their own way. Just because someone doesn't attend church or pray loudly so that all can hear doesn't mean they are far away from God. Besides, didn't Jesus say that a man who parades his faith for all to see is no Christian? Or something to that effect. I think the Christian faith upholds the idea that, to be a true Christian, it is better to show by deeds than by words.
It's been a long time since I've studied Christianity but...I do believe your fear that people are turning away from God is really unfounded.

I think children are closest to God.As we become older and less aware of spirtual things we get cought up in our flesh.Those human things become more paramount,basic flesh needs.But I believe everyone has a God hole,we begin to seek the truth about what we were created for,become more disatisfied with our fleash being the end all be all.God I believe pursues us like a wonderful lover,I have experienced his great chasing of me,He has captured my heart,because he is my creator and I am His.I cant wait to get with Him!I will do this side of heaven,with grace,mercy,love,forgiveness,until Im done.I feel distant from God when I react out of hate,or pride or any other unlovely part of my human nature.But when I draw close to him,and seek him hes allways there.

because probably God is not active anymore. Maybe he just set this world into motion and is now just sitting and watching us suffer. that's why people are not interested in him, or her, anymore.

every flower blooms in its own season. God is closer to you than breathing. even though you make your seat in hell i will be there with you. "God dwells within you as you" awake to your own inner reality.
