2000-2004.These are complex films, and really need watching more than once to get the whole story.
6,Eddie Murphy,Beverley Hills Cop 1-3,1987-1994.These are great comedy films, but not for kids.

The West Wing

The Nun's Story

The Execution of Private Eddie Slovik (Martin Sheen, about 1980, can hardly bear to watch it but would not want to be without it)

Brides of Christ (an Australian series, early 1990s, incredibly intelligent film about the crises in the Roman Catholic Church in the 1960s and badly let down by the mawkish title)

The Right Stuff

From The Earth to The Moon (the series that Tom Hanks masterminded after he became a space nut following Apollo 13)

Witness (Harrison Ford)

All of them I could watch and watch, although Eddie Slovik usually reduces me to tears.

Hope that helps.

(Hang on - can I add one more - Cagney and Lacey)
