OK, that's a bit out of line. A husband isn't a parent. I do agree he's head of household, and ok, maybe a light but firm tap with hand is needed at times when verbal talk fails, but a hit with a hairbrush? That's a bit too far I think. Divorces are common because communication ceases. Both need to communicate and set rules to govern their own households. So things run smoothly. If this occurs, then marriages should be fine. But many couples just rather bail than talk stuff out, and try to resolve conflict. Divorce is an easy way out, so couples take it.

No spankings for my behavior outside of the bedroom because that would imply it is my husbands job to discipline me, which it is not because I am an adult.

It's the opposite with me. My fiancee spanks me frequently with a large black leather paddle she ordered online. She says she's a Domme.
