Well, I have three favorites... I can't say which is the best one though.
I love the first one, the original. It is definatley one of the more freakier movies of the series.
The next one would be Friday the 13th, Part 8: Jason takes Manhattan. This shows Jason at his best, some of his best kills with some actual character development. Plot holes aside, this is a pretty good film.
Freddy vs. Jason. This isn't really a Friday the 13th movie, but it did everything all the other movies did... and better. Plus the story and direction were wonderfully handled.
If I were to choose but one more, I would have to go with Jason X. I can't stand the fact that they took out the horror element and replaced it with comedic elements... but I respect them for taking the franchise to another level and in a new direction. It is a fairly entertaining movie and actually has a lot of great sequences in it as well.

Firday the 13th Part 8 Jason takes Manhattan
It thought it was cool where Jason left Crystal lake in search of new victims by following a old victim that had escaped him

The first one is a classic but I have to say Jason X because I like horror and sci-fi.

I like the 3D version, but I'm a 3D nut (prersonally, I felt all the films were rather thin)
