My sister put a duvet cover over hers and stored it in the spare room. As long as its not in a damp environment it should be ok. She had it stored for over a year with no problems. I'm sure if its pure silk you have to be careful storing it as the delicate fabric will turn yellow especially if folded. Also put it on a plastic hanger not wood or metal. Enjoy your day next year!

Yes I agree there should have been a bag supplied with your dress from the store, but this alone will not keep the dress in the pristine colour you bought it in. I have been married for seventeen years and have kept my dress, I covered my dress in black (or white) tissue paper as well as a wedding dress bag and it is the same colour since the day I wore it.

Hope this helps and good luck for your wedding day.

Dependent on what the fabric its made of, some fabrics may discolour quickly if not kept properly. I would inclined to ask the dress maker who made it or the store person whom you bought it from.

But it is very important that you don't let the light on it, and keeping it in a dry, dark wardrobe.

Mine is 22 years old, and is kept in a dark, dry cupboard, and in a dress makers cardboard box, gently folded with blue tissue paper. It still perfect.

Good luck with the wedding preparations.

Do not store your wedding gown in a plastic bag or box. Plastic traps moisture which can lead to mildew and insects. Instead choose a clean white or unbleached cotton sheet to wrap your dress in; or get a "conservation box."

Store it away from light. Store it flat, don't hang it. Keep it where the temperature and humidity are stable (i.e., not an attic or basement).

Consignment shops, Goodwill. I basically purchase new issues with tags on them at Goodwill. I observed eye-catching wedding ceremony robes dirt much inexpensive. it is going to cost you greater have it wiped sparkling than it cost. they're basically worn as quickly as. you are able to then take it to the consignment save and sell it and get your cleansing rate lower back. Like getting a unfastened wedding ceremony dress. My sister and her husband offered night placed on for a luxury cruise. Tucks, shirts, night dress. His cuff hyperlinks cost greater effective than the tuxedo that he offered at a consignment save. you would be shocked! Jo Ann

It should have came in a bag, from the store you bought it? Just leave it in that, in a closet. Don't let it get too much light.
