Racism is as prevalent today as it was in Biblical times. It always has been, it always will be. Understand that racism is not necessarily about color. Also understand that racism takes 'mood shifts'. For instance, due to outside, as well as internal, reasons, tension from the Black people toward all other people is at an all-time high.
Through the eyes of the Japanese, perceived racism toward the Japanese from the United States as a whole was the primary reason Japan attacked Hawaii (the United States).
The fanatical hatred between the Jews and Muslims is the ultimate form of racism, racism that is well documented in the Bible. Understand the Bible (religion) is not the implied reason for racism here, but rather simply part of the written history.

Oh yes! There's a guy posting in government and politics right now with a user name "Our Country is White!" and his avatar is a KKK guy with a burning cross in the background. I just saw the word "kikes" on here yesterday and many other disparaging remarks about Jews. And let's not forget that racism can be by blacks toward whites. I've experienced that many times when I taught in the public school system in the inner city.

Yes it exists very much. Probably always will as long as there are distinct races since racism is based on fear and fear is one of the most powerful emotions.

But love is pretty powerful too. People of different races falling in love is a pretty powerful force working to reduce racism.

Ask this question to an African American doing time in one of North Floridas Prisons located in the Iron Triangle. Many of the Correction Officers are card carrying Klan members. Yes....racisim is alive and out of control. Blacks are electricuted at twice the rate of whites. Blacks make up nearly 60 % of inmates in prison but are less than 13% of the population.

Yes it does.

The only way it will ever go away is if the racial parent stops teaching the child about discrimination. And once the old generation dies out, the children will grow with their own independent view of cultural acceptance. Ant this is speaking about a sort of ideal situation. I doubt even this will work.

Racisim will always exist in at least a few minds. I guess a better question would be is racisim as dominant today as it was in the 1800's, 1930's, 1960's, 1990's or whatever time period you want to compare against.

In order to measure something you have to have place to begin measuring.

yeah and a person would be ignorant to think that it doesn't exist and in fact it is more alive today than it ever has been, the more people that there are on the face of the planet the more that there are to be racist

Of course. And to some degree it will never disappear... just as we have preconceived ideas about everything in our world, we will always have them for different types of people (various races, classes, nationalities or ages).... whether or not these are negative ideas or whether or not there is any truth to them, is a different story.

of course it does, just like sexism ageism etc etc.
It is human nature to hate the things that we dont undersatnd or are scared of sad but true.

Unfortunatly it will always exist , people in govermant and media really dont help the situation though.
