Don't lose your confidence if you slip, be grateful for a pleasant trip! I do pick myself up, dust myself off, and start all over again.

Yes I do! I cannot wallow in self pity or anyone else's pity. I'm a strong willed person in-which I consider myself to be so lucky in that respect. Because when you actually see what agony, pain and suffering does to a weak person it become truly sad. I tried years ago to help people who were suffering from maybe a death in the family or losing everything they had or trying to talk them out of doing things that was actually killing them. But most of those people in my past are either still doing what they do or they're dead. So I cannot allow myself to dwell on the negative when I'm down about something. It's a must in me where I have to pick myself up and try it again! I say if you lay down too long, you might as well join the dogs with fleas.

In a manner of speaking .....
Sometimes it takes longer than others ......sometimes I wonder if it's better to stay down because I know somewhere down the line I'm gonna get knocked down again...... BUT THEN.....
Every time I get up it's with a new suit - tailored to fit me better than the last one and made to take a few more knocks than the last one .... fewer and fewer patches .... more and more snazzy-looking and sharp .... better and better a fit ......
when the knocks come they're always as hard as the first one but never have quite the same effect because I know I can wear them better ...... and as a person .....it shows.......

What is the alternative?

Stay down, dusty, and wallow in sorrow. I'll pass.

Everyone deserves a better life than that, it may take time.. but you'll be dust free in no time.

It's a case of having to - I get knocked down with monotonous regularity.
Life is getting knocked down 8 times and getting up 9.

No; because by now I've learned that I am only going to fall again.
