I think they let dogs loose and they run over to the bowls and they see how long it takes for them to scoff it. If they do it quixker then maybe it's tastier?

Don't know about dog food, but I have been told that the Whiskas cat food makers have testers who eat it and say it is delicious. You would have to be a cat to confirm this. My cat was one of the 2 out of 10 cats who preferred Felix.

Oh, come on... you don't really believe that humans consume such waste, do you? They have trained dogs that probably get paid a nominal fee for "participating" that judge if the mixtures taste good, and the people can probably tell by expression or attitude. I certainly couldn't stomach such, and my judgment of it would be impaired, leaving me to believe that only dogs could do that business.

Dog food taster of course, many people dont know this...its not dogs it's people who taste the dog food, and then they try it on the dogs after.
