Yes they can bite. It may hurt a little bit but no common British house spiders are capable of anything more than a minor irritation.

All spiders can bite, how do you think they eat? But a common British spider isn't going to do you much harm unless you are very allergic to things like bee stings. It might itch some, but it won't kill.

All spiders bite and have some form of venom. Whether or not it's dangerous depends on the spider.

Not all spiders bite-in the UK there are a few species that DO bite, but it is not common to have a reaction from them.

Yes in theory but they are more likely to run away! All spider have venom but no British spiders are poisonous to humans.

Do you mean those big black hairy jobs? It's not likely but the thin spindly daddy long legs type spiders do if threatened. We dont have dangerous spiders in the UK but all spiders use venom on their prey. A daddy long legs spider easily kills the big black hairy one, I've often seem it happen in a confrontation.

They most certainly can, and do, bite. Most people have little to no reaction to a bite; but a few get a small, swollen, hard red lump that itches and is painful...these tend to go in a few days' time.

I'd say yes!! someone i know picked up a wolf spider in our house N it bit! it wasn't bad just nipped but made her jump!!
