Many pregnant women have food aversions. It doesn't mean anything about what the baby will like really. You may find that foods you eat a lot of during pregnancy or breastfeeding may be foods that your child does like though, as the tastes are familiar. It doesn't mean they won't try/like other foods though.

EDITED TO ADD:
Please don't start your child on baby food as early as the other poster. Solids should not be started until close to 6 mos of age. Starting too early puts your child at risk of allergies, diabetes and obesity. They simply can't digest it that early on. ALL they need until around 6 mos of age is breastmilk or formula.

Highly unlikely! I, too, couldn't eat certain foods that I love prepregnancy and craved ones that I rarely ate when I was pregnant. It all has to do with your hormones.

I, too, would question your doctor on other ways to get potassium in your diet if bananas are bothersome. Many women, in pregnancy, can't tollerate bananas.

One last thing...they say that it's a myth, but if you have frequent heartburn, or vomit from foods during pregnancy, the myth is that you're going to have a girl....girls, in pregnancy, cause A LOT of morning sickness. Heartburn means that there will be lots of hair upon birth. I had both and I have a 15 month old girl!

Being 3 months pregnant is tough. Thats usually the time for a lot of sickness. I would lay off the caffinated soda and try to stick with sprite and ginger ale, just for the fact you might be able to tolerate it better. But, no, I don't think what you can and can not tolerate has anything to do with the baby being picky. I think it's just your body going through A LOT of changes.

That doesn't mean the baby will be picky, you just aversions to certain foods because of being pregnant.

Lay off the caffiene and pop and drink some water and milk, even juice, all that sugar isn't good for the baby or you.

Pregnant women goes through this with food especially doing the first trimester. something you like to eat when you wasn't pregnant might be nasty to you now I don't think your baby will be picky It's just your taste buds is changing due to being pregnant

The best way to prevent pickiness in your child is to breastfeed. When you breastfeed, your milk will taste like whatever you ate. This makes your baby more likely to try new things because they have already had the flavors in breastmilk.

absolutely Not. When a woman is pregnant she can aversions to certain foods or drinks. Or on the other hand she can also crave certain foods more so than when she wasn't pregnant.

They might be, but not because of your eating habits. I am 15 weeks pregnant myself, and depending on the day I can eat certain things and not other things... lately I have been just hungry like crazy though... lol. It'll get easier. My mother ate EVERYTHING in sight with my brother, and he will not eat a darn thing. She couldn't eat a thing with me... and I ate everything... lol

first of all babies cant taste what you are eating or drinking.they can taste really spicy or highly seasoned things though.but not until there taste buds appear.its more likely that your body is being the picky one.just be happy that you can eat or drink anything.lol.

Not really, these things are learned. If you teach the baby to like these things, it will. And later in life I am sure that you will too. Relax, that is the least of your worries, LOL!
