I'm in 7th grade and im a good student A's Etc but i didnt quilify for the SAT's this year and its really bugging me because i should have got to take it. But i keep telling myself its ok but how much does the SAT effect me in 7th grade?

Are you planning on going to college next year? If not then I wouldn't give not taking the SATs a second thought. Why should you worry about something that doesn't have any bearing on your life whatsoever? There will be plenty of opportunities in high school to take the SAT anytime that you want. Don't worry so much! Enjoy life!

Take your time and experience life. SAT's are for the junior year in high school. If you do not learn from a variety of sources, and stay inspired about school and activities, you might "burn out" too soon, and not have the mental energy to last through the long years of college. You also need a variety of "background" to cover the questions in SAT's and beyond. Get a multi-volume encyclopedia and start reading it---get interested in all subjects.

They will not affect you until you graduate high school and go to college. Most people don't even take them until they are in high school. SAT's are really not that important. Most colleges also offer placement exams now-a-days. The only thing an SAT score does is determine if you need remedial course in college prior to attending college level courses.
Don't freak quite yet...its a good sign you are prepairing because the SAT's have nothing to do with anything you have learned or will learn or use ever again!

OMG you are not even in HS yet....I would not worry about it at all. NO Univesity looks at what you did when you was in 7th grade. I say enjoy your life...just dont slak off from school. Just make sure you keep up with you school work. SAT in 7th grade will do no good in college after 6 years. Trust me....they look at recent grades and SATs....so when you are in 10 & 11 grade do good in SAT cause that is when it matters.
