Killing is killing!

Many scientists, medical doctors and researchers have a god-like complicated. because they could be able to't avert and treatment the diseases we already have and wade through from, they sense the opt to come back up with innovating strategies to make a attractiveness for themselves. Cloning? isn't it God's job to create life? the position will this lead and the position will it end? Stem cellular analyze? Take part of a created man or woman and use it to help out an ill human. the position might want to this lead and the position might want to it end? Genetic Engineering? Engineering is the interest that throws me right here. i'm adversarial to all 3 and no i does no longer partake in any of them however if i necessary a coronary heart. Embryonic stem cellular is repulsive to me and the day will come at the same time as they could be able to pay females to get pregnant because there are not sufficient embryonic stem cells to flow round. guy abuses each and every thing!

My view is that too many sheeple here think stem cell research is the answer to curing every disease known to man. Very little progress has been made on any level. ZERO progress has been made from fetal stem cell research. A study just came out that suggests treating the brain of a Parkinson's patient with stem cells causes brain tumors.

Throwing too much money into this is extremely ignorant. Traditional research is returning better, quicker results. Give the money to worthy research.

I would be open minded about it if the collection of stem cells were done differently. I know a lot of people have an opinion about life and where it begins. But my delimna is more on the point of whether the embryos are going to be used or not. If a person donates embryos with the idea of using them later to get pregnant and reaches a point where they are no longer wanted or needed then in essence those embryos have no place to go but the garbage. So what's the big deal if some scientists do an experiment or 2 to better modern medicine. I know that many men in this world are into self pleasure and just how many little guys get wasted like that? Are they gonna regulate that too? We have to start looking at the whole picture rather than a narrow part of it.

It is illegal to kill to get stem cells. Researchers obtain this legally, and they do their research within the parameters of the law.

I look at the good far outweighing the bad. With stem cell research, they could find a cure for so many debilitating diseases. And what offends me so much more is if they do, and one of the opposition's family members suffered from the disease and could be cured from the results of the research, they would sure use the cure. So I think as long as no laws are broken, then the research can help so many more humans on the earth.

I am all for ADULT stem cell research

Embryonic stem cell research has caused more problems (tumors) then they have cured (ZERO). It requires the destruction of a human embryo. Plus, as a practical matter, we have access to adult stem cells from our bodies. We would have to clone ourselves to obtain new embryonic stem cells that match our genetic code.

Money is better spent researching adult stem cells.

Stem cell research is probably the most promising field in finding cures to our most devastating diseases. The neo-con attitude is ridiculous. those stem cells, if not used for research will simply be thrown in the garbage. That does not make any sense! If they are to be discarded anyway why not use them to help mankind? These cell have not even advanced to embryo stage, to equate them with life is possible but not sensible. These people love the embryo but hate the living.

I think any method to fix or cure existing people can relieve suffering and make people more productive is good.

I think any method to create more people or increase the population of the earth is bad.

So stem cells used for curative research is good, Stem cells used to clone anything is bad.

Embryonic stem cell research has been an utter failure. Hence why private investors refuse to put their money in failure. Since these researchers can't get money from the private sector, they beg the government for money and smear anyone who disagrees with them as "anti-science."

All advances in stem cells have all been in ADULT stem cells, whose use are ethical, unlike embryonic stem cells.

Calee, you're uninformed. Bush limited GOVERNMENT spending on EMBRYONIC stem cells. Private investors are still more than free to invest in it as they wish.

Since the cells will be destroyed anyway, why not use them to do
some good in research? I am one who believes that life starts when
egg is fertilized bt sperm, however the stem cells that are present at birth should be used in research.

If more people saw as many sick & suffering people as
I have, they would be for it.
Vetoing the research was a tragedy & shows no concern
for caring for other people less fortunate.
Hope - it's a beautiful thing, when you have it.
