It's my 25th birthday today but I feel so down. Some so called friends havn't bothered with me today and my daughter who is 7 has been a brat! Any suggestions on how to get out of this depressing mood? thanx.

Celebrate yourself! Splurge, and go out for the day, and get pampered, and have a lovely dinner. Don't let those things take you down. I bet they will be jealous once you said what you did for your 25th birthday!

Sorry to hear you're having such a lousy day :-(

If you can find a babysitter, leave your daughter at home & let your hair down tonight. Call some friends (the one's who do give a damn), go out & enjoy yourself. If no babysitter, an early night for your daughter and maybe a girly night in. Just a thought, but it beats being alone & unhappy on what should be a happy day.

Oh, and Happy birthday! :-)

Curl up with a duvet, pretend you are home from school sick like you were when you were younger and put on a soppy movie once you're daughter has gone to bed. I find that chick flick ones are best such as Thelma & Louise or Pretty Woman. I also find that a mug of hot chocolate made from milk (not water) is very calming and brings you back to looking after yourself. Maybe if you're up to it you could soak your nails and paint them, it's very therapeutic. You don't have to do anything just because it's your birthday but you could call round your friends and try and arrange them to come to lunch next Sunday to celebrate or something.

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you,
happy birthday dear Fiona, happy birthday to you,
may your hopes, dreams and wishes be the surprises on your birthday today, hope the rest of your day turns out great as you really do deserve it.

Maybe your friends are coming over later with something nice for you and a lovely bottle of wine to share so you can chill out, hope so, good luck and I hope your feeling cheered up really soon.

Happy Birthday Fiona! Get your daughter a sitter for a few hours, order some pizza with some wine, and watch a comedy.

Happy Birthday!

Hey, maybe your friends are planning a surprise party for you and want to make you think they've forgotten to add to the effect!

If not, maybe they're all too wrapped up in their own lives to remember what day it is! If your friends have forgotten you - There's always next year that they can make it up to you - double the pressies!!!

And anyway - cheer up, at least you're not celebrating your 50th birthday today!!!

P'raps your friends will surprise you yet - but how about getting some chocs, wine and a video/DVD. Put your child to bed then have a nice relaxing bath, followed by an indulgent evening.

Whatever you do I hope you manage to cheer up.

Happy Birthday.

Happy Birfday Fiona, I fink you are the Bee's Knee's.
If it wasn't for you the sun wouldn't shine, the bird's wouldn't sing and fly, Led Zeppelin would be just Glass Glider, the internet would be just the othernet and we would never skip through flowery meadows to rain kisses on your ever eager upturned face. Have a crate of wee heavy and hug the toilet in the middle of the night. (Well, perhaps not)
