take the phone back to the store where you bought it... they'll have all the information you'll need to contact the insurance company... they may also have a repair department... Verizon fixed mine at no charge.

At the cell phone company where I work, if you have the insurance, that's the only way to get it replaced. If you try to use the warranty, they won't replace it if it has obvious damage, the warranty is only for manufacturer's defects. It would be a waste of time. If you file the insurance for either lost or damaged, you would be solving the problem the same either way, so there is no point in lying, as you will more than likely be sent a refurbished model anyway. I would say just pay your deductible and try to be more careful with your phone! =)

Unless you have insurance, this won't work. PLUS, you have to make a police report before they can do anything. That's a hard one to answer. Who is your company? Sometimes, the insurance will cover accidents caused by the owner, often times it doesn't. I would find out if you have insurance, and what all it covers. Ooh, also, like sometimes the phone manufacturer (IE: samsung) has a limited 1 year warranty. Good luck!

If you have insurance on it then nothing to worry about. I would first try however taking it to any mobile service shop, they should be able to help you out. Check them out and see what they say. You could go to several and see what they charge, I don't think they will charge much. If your phone is still under warranty take it back to the place where you first bought it. I would also buy a leather covering for it so anytime it does happened to slip from your fingers, it will cushion the fall.

Just use your insurance, that's why you pay for it. I grew up on a farm and my dad destroyed more cell phones by dropping them and running them through machinery and just plain ole loosing them. They shouldn't give you a hard time about it, just tell them you dropped it and it isn't working - I've found that cell phone customer service reps are really really nice... and I've worked with just about every company there is out there from living in different areas, work and helping my dad out. Good luck.

Well saying it was stolen when it really wasn't is lying, so I wouldn't advise that. Go to your carrier's store and explain what happened, perhaps your insurance will cover it anyway. Phones to these stores are really cheap on their end, they probably will replace it for you to keep you in good standing as a customer.

the insurance should cover accidental damage and wear and tear. also it should be under manufacturing warranty. don't say it's stolen because this process involves much more hassle. send it back to the manufacturer or get the insurance provider to fix it.
Good luck

It depends on what type of insurance you have. I bought an extended warranty for mine and it covers accidental damage like what you described. Making a theft claim could come back to bite you leter.

What does your insurance covers? So then claim as what do they cover. If it covers of losing, claim that you lost it. If it covers scratch on the LCD, claim for fix it or replace it with a new one.
