I like to travel on the Blue Ridge Parkway on the weekends. There are many pretty views and hiking trails. However, there are virtually no restrooms on it, not even at the look out points. Many of the times, I am forced to walk on some hiking trail for privacy behind a bush or tree. I am curious how many other women have been on long car rides and were forced to pee somewhere other than in a bathroom? Exactly what did you do?

I was in Australia last year and went on a very long road trip, it was just me and my boyfriend and we must have been driving for a good 6 hours, maybe more and there wasn't one single toilet, i got that desperate i made my boyfriend pull over, he had to get out with me and hold a towel up in front of me whilst i did my business (just to keep a bit of Modesty) ......... never again!!! It was a good trip though!

I was on a hiking trip, not in a car at all, but walking all the way up to a mountain (about 6 hours walk, I was so unfit), by the time I got on the top it was too dark to go anywhere for a pee. I managed to sleep, and then as soon as the sun was rising I really had to go! I did not care if I did it in front of the rest of the group, but in the end I found some privacy behind the bushes. And I had no Kleenex or anything, not even leaves.. My God, I was in agony having spent more than 12 hours without a pee. Once the bladder is full then you just have to go..

Only extremely rarely, as I make an effort to go before I reach an area where there are no restrooms. This one time where it did happen, however, was an unusual situation. The place I was hiking at the time does have restrooms, so I didn't think anything of my need to go until I saw a "restrooms closed due to water main break" sign on the door. I went WAY up into the woods, found a big rock, and dug a cathole in the ground in which I did my business. It wasn't pretty- but sometimes you got to do what you got to do.

If my family and I had long road trips we always took toilet paper with us just in case there weren't restrooms available. Sometimes we had to stop on the side of the road and go with the door open and just clean ourselves up. Everyone does it at least one time in their life so don't be a shamed of it.

The bushes, just like you.But once, on a really long road trip, we stopped and asked a family who lived in the mountains if we could use their toilet.They happily provided but imagine our surprise when we were led to a hole in the ground!Pretty much just like the bushes but without the bushes that time.

same thing the guys do...go out side... you just find a place to squat like you said behnd a tree or what ever (i'd stay off trails though)... maybe try drinking less before and during long trips.

Unfortunately It happens to most of us woman.We can't just whip it out anywhere like our male counter parts.LOL.Well at this time in my life I am having bladder trouble.I'm only 46.I have to wear protective under garments all of time.Have you ever thought of maybe purchasing, if not the panties.Maybe the pads for bladder leakage.Just to wear until you reach your destination?Other wise I guess us woman are destined for the woods.Look on the bright side.Look at all of the nature we woman get to see.Smile and Good Luck

Girl I keep a plastic soda cup with a lid in the trunk of my car for emergencies,Yes,I have peed in the woods behind a bush etc. Now Only peed Nothing else,hey listen when you gotta go you gotta go better than peeing in your pants Yes??? Dont worry guys do it and its better than letting your bladder burst.

Yeah, I think everyone I know has, go on the rear passenger side and go wee wee!
Ps. Make sure nobody in the car has a camera phone!

Trees and bushes work just fine to hide your bare bum from passing traffic.
