I am in Mensa. I am in the top 2%. However, there is more that I know I don't know than I know, and there is even more that I don't know that I don't know.

Marilyn Vos Savant's Adult IQ has been ranked at 186 by the Guiness book of world records.
or to ad debate
Kim Ung-Yong from South Korea Who's IQ was ranked at 210
it depends on who you believe.
I have taken two different test with in a couple months of each other and scored 142 first then 148. I found the tests lacking and really don't test the full scope of a persons intellect. They seemed to focus mostly on reasoning and problem solving, which are important but not everything, those areas are my stronger ones. I also think the first test was like a primer for the second, knowing what to expect, if they tested true IQ then practice shouldn't matter.
I really don't think I'm that smart or clever.
Why would a concert pianist with an IQ of 100 be any less intelligent than some one with a higher IQ that will never have the ability be able to play. -musical ability
Or a top gymnast -body kinetic ability
or the great salesman -interpersonal ability
the list goes on.....

Last time I was test, almost 5 years ago, I scored a 132. Now, I don't even remember really how good that is. My nephew, 21 years younger than I am, just took one for an entry into a private school and he was told that the scoring for children would not work for him, so they tested him (age 11) on adult standards and he scored a 138. I am going to assume that, that is a really great score for an 11 year old.

I never test myself. I was doing an IQ test on the net but i gave up. Too intelligent for me. I'm not that clever and failed at just about everything! I did do electronics once though, i'm not really computer literate but i do know about components that go in Intergated Circuits though.

Like one of the guys who answered earlier my IQ has evidently gone down a bit with age. In college I tested at 162 or 163, but recently I tested at 151. Too many parties I guess.
I've read that IQ doesn't correlate to success in any way. Plenty of "smart" people are failures and drop outs. EQ, which is a measure of ones emotional intelligence is evidently a much better predictor of success. If you don't know yours you can check it at http://www.ihhp.com/quiz.php. Good luck.

It depends on which IQ test. Mine has varied from a 117 to a 131 and everything in between. Although I prefer to use the 131, I really don't think those tests are all that accurate, they just give you a general idea.

Well, I recently discovered that over the years I have lost over 20 IQ points. Probably some severe insulin comas have contributed to that.
When I was in my twenties it was 148, but two recent tests have come out at 125. Mind you, I don't *feel* less intelligent!
