In life, learning to laugh, smile, or just not take it too seriously is a true gift. It's a gift we all have, but we don't know how to use it or share it with others.

Yes...there is an apt expression that I have personally found to be 99% true.

"No good deed goes unpunished."

Only once did it not come back and bite me in the you know where. Only once did I get a thank you... I can only conclude the 99% were terribly emotionally disturbed to the point of being deaf and blind. Sad, but true.
