A corsage is a small flower or group of flowers that are either pinned onto the chest of your dress, or worn around your wrist on a band. The florist will know, and I think your sister is right :)

RE:
What is a corsage?
I am a guy dressing as a Deb for Halloween (for fun). My sister said I should have a corsage to go with my dress. What is a corsage? Do you wear it?

A corsage is a cluster of flowers, leaves. and a bow, usually put together at a flower shop. You can have it made to where on your shoulder or as a wristlet to where on your wrist. You should call your local flower shop a day or so before you need it, that way it will be ready and waiting for you when you get there. They can be made of anything, from mini carnations, mini roses, to orchids. The carnations would probably be the most affordable.

Corsage, is a flower arrangment you can pin to your top or wear on your writsts. Guys usually give one to girls for school dances, I am sure you have seen them just didn't know what they are called. Simiar to a boutaneer for a guy, you know the single rose or something for the guys jackets when they are dressed up. Good Luck.

Originally, a bouquet of flowers, flower bud, or a bow was worn on the corsage between the breasts, hence the name corsage for a cluster of flowers worn on the breast, waist or wrist.
