Infidelity and abuse.
Money, Inlaws, are often a focus of couples having problems.
The problem is with "no-fault" divorces, we've adopted a new term.."irreconcilable differences".
People have gotten lazy in relationships. Irreconcilable differences have become anything from not doing the laundry according to the spouses demands to putting your feet on the sofa.
Relationships take work. PERIOD. If you use "irreconcilable differences" count yourself lazy. Go to counseling, go on dates, without kids, simple things can resolve "irreconcilable differences" Simple efforts save relationships and stop divorces..
I've been down that road, my wife and I separated and were divorced for a period of two years, We got back together because we realized we still loved each other.
Love is something that requires work. Don't give up too easily.

This is close to the correct order but every one is different. No matter what list, money is alwasy number one.
Financial problems
Poor communication
A lack of commitment to the marriage
A dramatic change in priorities
Infidelity
Failed expectations or unmet needs
Addictions and substance abuse
Physical, sexual or emotional abuse
Lack of conflict resolution skills
My divorce root cause was my ex's "Addiction." It manifested it's self in many of these areas and they seemed like the problem for a long time. In the end a good understanding of the very Root cause will help healing.

Selfishness!! Alot of people get into marriages thinking that they are going to be served and that this other person is going to present them with a better life on a platter!!
If you read the verse in the bible Corinthians 13: Love is not selfishness!!
Its also because people get married for the wrong reasons!!
