TAKE HELP OF YOUR ELDERS AND PREPARE HER FOR DIVORCE ON MUTUAL CONSTANT. SHE MAY ASK FOR MAINTENANCE IF YOU GOES TO COURT FOR DIVORCE. IT IS BETTER FOR YOU TO TAKE THE DECISION BY ELDER OF BOTH FAMILY,

if you feel that your wife will contest the divorce IE fight for alimony, monies, division of the material assets, etc then you will need a lawyer to help work out the problems

but get going on the lawyer you will need a family court divorce lawyer, if your family has a little cash maybe they can pay for your lawyer but get it going delay will only cause you more harm

also be-careful once divorce is started your wife could make false claims of harassment etc with the police forcing you out of the home or have a domestic violence charge against you

I suggest to start documenting all things that go on in your marriage until you leave. Documentation is everything! I know it sounds petty but every time she does or says anything document it. Do you have kids? Does she work?
Myself, I would do it first so I could get away from the bull and be happy.
I would go to a divorce attorney asap. When I was ready to leave I would go to the bank and close the accounts {if you don't have kids}. If she wants a family to support her, let her family now support her. This is just strictly my opinion.

You'll have to go to a lawyer, no matter where you are. They have seen it all----don't be embarrassed and don't blame yourself. Let the lawyer do his job and forget the rest.
Keep records, if you can, of her statements, threats, actions, as much as you can for a "paper trail."
You are stuck with the divorce laws wherever you are living.
She obviously wants the money, so don't take any of this personally. Just pity her.
Get out of this situation and learn some life-lessons from it.

Better talk to a lawyer first. Also, my advice is that you have atleast mutually agreed for a divorce and now talk to her in a polite manner that you wil split as good friends and well wishers. Forget the past and don't try to take any revenge. This way atleast you can reduce your trauma.

Check with a divorce lawyer- they usually don't charge a thing for an initial consultation.

Don't try to do it on your own. Get a lawyer to represent YOUR interests

And try to get some counseling.
