In a nutshell:

No games are confirmed with online play as of yet, but the functionality is there to do it so its only a matter of time.

You can surf the web with the Wii, but best of all download old games from the NES, SNES, N64, GENESIS & PC ENGINE (all confirmed to date & more expected over time). Each of the games for these will cost points, and points cost you money. Best of all if the console is left in standby it will be capable of downloading upgrades for games, such as new levels or characters.

Games available will be the same as any other console with the usual exclusive titles, but for once Zelda will be a release title! Up to 50 games will be available by the end of the launch window in March 2007 for north america, other regions will be a certain percentage of this. (europe 25, Japan 20). Region locking on the console itself is uncertain at the moment.

Yes it is graphically inferior to the XBOX 360 but think of this...would you rather have a game like Madden NFL and play it on a normal joypad like you have since you was old enough to remember or have the idea of swinging the wii pad around like a madman when you are throwing the ball or blocking tackles! :D

I would probably advise getting one WITH a 360 :) Wii will be one for when you have friends around making it a blast, 360 for those games that just look awesome and deserve a console that is powerful enough to show them off.

No doubt it is worthwhile getting. You will be proud to own one if you buy it, because if you do, you will gain a really fun and innovating experience from the Wii! The Wii is very futuristic in its gameplay, and nothing is better than feeling mass nostalgia when buying those Virtual Console games and playing them with either the Wii Remote (useable for most VC games) or using the Wii Classic Controller (sold seperately and is designed like a Super Nintendo controller with two analog sticks) or even a Gamecube controller. And yes, they do cost, but nothing more than 5-10 dollars...very cheap. Also, you can't go wrong with an extra wii remote and nunchuk, especially if another player wishes to be apart of the experience! And if you like shooting games, purchase the official Wii Zapper where you put your wii remote and nunchuk into the gun "periphal" and play the shooting games in a realistic arcade style! And the Wii Sports Pack is quite nice to have too for the game Wii Sports, which comes with the Wii, where you can play tennis with a Tennis Racket, Baseball with a bat, or drive with the wheel from that package. (Wiimote must be placed into these "periphals")! Also for a great racing game like Mario Kart wii, you will enjoy using the Wii Wheel that comes with it, so you get a real driving experience with Nintendo's greatest racing game, and perhaps of the video game industry! So don't delay yourself and grab that Wii!

Well its cheaper than the ps3 will be. The wii has a stick like thing that lets you interact with some games. Also im sure you've heard about all the trouble the ps3 is having with chips and so forth where as i have heard no problems about the wii. The xbox 360 or the wii i would say.

First, Xbox 360 will have a lot more game than Wii, so if you are only basing your purchase on Call of Duty 3, get a 360. the main reason most people get Nintendo systems is for Zelda, Mario and Metroid. The online service for Wii is rumored to be free, so that would be good if you get one. Obviously the graphics are nowhere near the Xbox 360's. with over 5 million users on Xbox Live, chances are that there may be a lot more people to play against on Xbox Live, so that is something to consider. Red Steel used to get a lot of hype, but now critics are bashing it and saying it's terrible, so be aware of that. Good luck with whatever purchase you make.

It depends how much money u r willing to spend. i like the wii because its cheap, and small. I also want the red steel game it looks cool. the 360 is expensive but will run some xbox games and 360 games. There isn't much information on the wii but i recon that there will be lots of games 4 it. (Wii will also run gamecube games) if you wait for reviews on the wii you could compare them better and know what type of games are coming out on it, that's what I'm gonna do.

YES IT IS! And a nice console to put next to your Xbox 360. There will be no Wi-Fi Connection Wii games until sometime in 2007 (Super Smash Bros Brawl might be the first game to do this). You can buy classic Nintendo games online using the Wii.

The Wii is backwards compatible with every nintendo game ever made, so on release there will be hundres of titles to choose from.
Look at the games each console has and then buy the console with the games you want to play.
Its about the games...not the consoles.

although none of the launch titles will be able to be played online...the system does have inbuilt wi-fi which means once the first wi-fi compatible games comes out (early 2007) you'll be able to play online for free.
