After being a Firefox user for a few years this review probably already has a slight slant away from Microsoft but to be fair I've never been opposed to Internet Explorer...I mean there are still tons of sites out there that are only accessible with IE. With that being said here is what I've found with the final release of IE7.

After starting IE7...I find the wait time to connect and load my homepage incredibly painful. In all actuality it only takes about 10 secs to find the page and load but when I'm used to this taking 1 sec with Firefox it seems like an eternity. After startup the layout and design is nice and streamlined. There isn't an abundance of buttons and menus that I would just go through and remove anyway. Now although this is nice it has taken me a while to learn after being programed to use File Edit View etc... for years with previous versions.

The security so far has been great. They've added tabbed browsing and a really cool feature termed 'Quick Tabs' which gives you a thumbnail of each page you have open.

Overall I like the new IE7, but will stick with Firefox for now. We'll see what happens when Vista is rolled out.

I have the Beta 3 version on my computer. The program basically changed its appearance. You can also click tabs to access other websites in the window. You can even view many webpages at once and select the one you want. The biggest thing with IE7 is the security changes. It has a SPAM filter that monitors the web page you are on and tells you whether it is safe or not.

Don't listen to the people that say it's horrible especially if they don't even say a reason why.

I honestly really don't see whats wrong with it. It clearly has better secruity then IE6 and now offers web browsing. IMO it also has a better clean look.

Its great! I installed it and its way advanced than IE6.
Its good looking, compact and more "controlleable".
But I had to uninstall it as it had some issues with few modules. Soon it will be famous and then those issues will be resolved (regarding seibel and an automatic update which installs automaticallly if you install it)

Works ok for me. I haven't noticed any slowdowns like the others complained about. I've heard it's a ***** to uninstall though. I've started using it more than firefox lately, but still perfer firefox.
