My IPOD 30 gig video does not sync with itunes?

I've just purchased the 30 gig video ipod. It doesn't sync with itunes. It starts to sync and then stops. My ipod nano syncs fine. Im using windows 2000 sp4 and itunes 6. Any ideas?

It's well known that iTunes on a P.C. does not make for happy communication!
Re install your iTunes(Hopefully using Version7),then also reset your iPod(By Holding down simultaneously PLAY/PAUSE and MENU)
Until the apple logo appears!
Re connect it all and click refresh! If it doesn't sync then-you may have a Problem within your P.C.
