If you are using a PC, select one of the messages - then press ctrl A - this will select all of your messages - then hit the delete key.

If you are using a mac its exactly the same but you press Apple (command key) A instead.

It would be helpful to know what kind of box you are trying to empty Ü
Hold the CTRL + A keys to select all , then click Delete or Trash.
This will remove all messages from your inbox in Yahoo Mail Beta version, not sure in the older online version.

You highlight the messages and click the right side of the mouse.Your options should come out and go under delete.Or you can just click on the messages and click delete.
