So, what is the deal with the people thinking out loud?

Are rich peoples lives really filled with that much drama that they have to cheat all over the place and have elaborate plots to murder someone?

Why do they have such lame unrealistic names?

Does every romance scene have to take place in either a hotel room with lots of candles, a hot tub, a room service cart, mood lighting, and 2 people cheating, or in a back alley of what seems like a boat loading area at a wharf?

Have you noticed that once a lame unrealistic name shows up on a soap, a few years later there's a bunch of new babies with that name??

Soaps are fun and an escape from reality. Doesn't take any brains to watch them, you can get wrapped up in someone else's chaos for awhile instead of your own. I love the one I watch, though the writing could sure be better.
