Hired a lawyer 6 months ago. Saw the SS Dr. 3 months ago. He told me I could never work again. Now I'm waiting on the judge.

My brother's took 9 months from the last denial to get the court date. Once the judge heard his case, he was approved immediately. They had to pay him for the 3 years it took from first filing. I don't know if they paid the 3 years in 1 lump sum or payments, though.

It can take a while. But stick in there. They denied my mom three times before she finally got it. (Had to get a lawyer, and visit a psychologist).

it depneds on if you have an attorney....if you appeal on your own, it could take 6 months or more I think, depending on the state you live in.
