Pretty much any game to be considered "old fashioned" would have to be pre-WW2 because most of the games that are in the store now (scrabble, UNO, Life, Sorry, etc.) were around in the 50's or 60's. One from that era that would count though and is no longer sold is "Lawn Darts". Huge plastic darts with metal spikes at the tip. They were banned in the US as a few kids died. "

We had recreational aids at playgrounds that had checker tournaments, arts and crafts; we rode bike; dodge ball; I played a solo game called seven up and throwing the ball against a wall different ways for different counts from seven to one...the communities would have movie night at the playground...one of the neighbors would read fairy tales from a large book...playgrounds were very big in the 50's & 60's. because they had different things at each playground...

Jump-rope, hop scotch,jacks,stick ball,red rover redrover,pick up stix,marbles,spinning a top,baseball,chinese jump rope,freeze tag,simon says,checkers,old maid,gin rummy,chinese checkers,paper dolls,skating,played hang man, &tic-tac-toe. WOW that sure shows my age.At 15 we played chicken with the train when driving, Do Not try that one.All we did was outside or group games, life was good....Add a slo-poke sucker and life was the BOMB>>>>>
