Congratulations! Now you have to find someone to host it! I don't think there are any free hosting sites so the next best option would be someone like One and One at a cost of £4.99 a month. If you are clever, you will find lots of friends who also need domains hosting and charge them a monthly fee to use your hosting!!! Then it is free.

Well... Web people usually build a site before getting a domain and host... but...
Domain is the address that will mask an ugly number address.
Think of it as mail address that is an empty lot... in order for mail to actually go there you need to build a house there...
The lot is "hosting space" and the house is your site.
There are many different ways to go through that.
If you want, there are free hosting plans and you can simply like a domain to there. With time you can get better hosting.
Usually hosting goes for about 7$ a month with some companies offering free domain services.

I don't know any free hosting sites that let you use a domain name. There might be but i doubt it. I would go to findmyhosting.com and get a web hosting service. You can find them like cheap $8.00/m.
If you really can't pay that much then the only other option I think you have is to go find a free redirecting service that will take your domain name and redirect it to the free hosting sites.

I've used http://www.0catch.com/ in the past, but the ads are really annoying. If there's a free host out there that will host a domain without ads I'd love to hear about it.
If you're on a tight budget but can afford maybe $7 a month check out http://www.godaddy.com

Most for free websites are not free, they will get you to pay for a domain, I would suggest finding a cheap place, as some of the free ones will put ads on your site.

You have a domain name and want to link it to a HOST..... a free host isnt going to let you use a www.emmacherry.co.uk i dont think.
You will need to pay for a host to allow you access to their Domain Name Servers which your "DOMAIN" will need to point at.

fasthosts.co.uk are great. they are cheap and they have a 24hr number you can phone with any technical problems (in the uk). I use them for all my hosting.
