Johnny Cash's a boy named sue even if your rubbish the song will get a cheer .
well my daddy left home when i was 3 an he didn't leave much for my ma n me cept this old guitar an a empty bottle of booze .
now i don't blame him coz he ran an hid but the meanest thing that he ever did was before he left he went an named me sue .
he must have thought it was quite a joke an it got a lot laughs from a lots of folk seems i had to fight my whole life through .
some girl would giggle an i'd get red an some guy would laugh an i'd bust his head i'll tell ya life aint easy for a boy named sue .
well i grew up quick an i grew up mean my fists got hard an my wits got keen i roamed from town to town to hide my shame
i made me a vow to the moon an stars i'd search the honky tonks an bars an i'd kill that man who give me that awful name .
it was gatlenburg in mid july an i'd just hit town an my throat was dry i thought stop an have myself a brew , at an old saloon in a street of mud there at a table heman stood such a dirty mangy dog that named me sue ,
i said my name is sue how do you do now your gonna die yes thats what i told him .
i hit him hard right between the eyes an he went down but to my suprise he jumped up an cut of a piece of my ear , so i busted a chair right across his teeth an we crashed through the wall an into the street kickin an a gougin in the mud an the blood an the beer ,
i'll tell ya i've fought tougher men but i really can't remember when he kicked like a mule an bit like a crocodile , i heard him laugh then i heard him cuss he went for his gun an i pulled mine first he stood there lookin at me an i saw him smile ,
he said i know ya hate me an you got the right to kill me now an i wouldn't blame you if you do , but ya ought to thank me before i die for the gravel in your gut an the spit in your eye coz i knew you'd have to get tough or die an i'm the son of a ***** that named you sue .
what could i do , what could i do , i got all choked up an i threw down my gun i called him my pa an he called me his son an i came away with a different point of view ,
i think about him now an then every time i fight an every time i win ....... an if i ever have a boy i think i'll name him ........ bill , george , frank any damned thing but sue ..i still hate that name .

OK someone beat me to it with Green Day - Time Of Your Life, but other ones could be White Stripes - We're Going To Be Friends (The one from the beginning of Napoleon Dynamite). If it's not too geeky, Bon Jovi - Livin' On a Prayer acoustic is blinding, nice and slow, Bon Jovi do it live sometimes too. Primal Scream - Movin' On Up if you can get the school choir involved!

House of the Rising Sun is good. Or some Bob Dylan thing, like Blowing in the Wind. Go along those lines, they're easy and still sound good.
