I had my period on 23/09/2006 and again on 18/10/2006 (so 2 days early). I've notice for a couple of months that i do not get that clear eggwhite discharge when you're ovulating. We have been trying to conceive since july. Does that mean i'm not ovulating at all ?

I disagree with the answers to your question. You do not have to ovulate to get your period. Many people do not ovulate, but they still get their periods.

The absolute best way to find out if you are ovulating is to chart your basal body temperature. This means that you take your temperature first thing in the morning before you get out of bed. It should be low early in your cycle and spike at the time of ovulation. If you have ovulated, your temperature will remain high until you get your period.

I myself am having trouble ovulating and we are ttc, so I understand your frustration. Before you do anything, you need to find out if you are, in fact ovulating. If you are not willing to spend a month or two on the basal body temperature chart (which is the most effective), you can take an otc ovulation predictor. Your doctor can also perform blood tests.

If you find out that you are not ovulating, no worries. There is a medication called Clomid, which your doctor can prescribe to you, and it has a very high success rate for people who are not ovulating on their own.

You can still ovulate and not get ewcm. Sometimes you just can't see the ewcm unless you are inserting your fingers in your vagina, and/or using a mirror to observe your cervix. The best way to know is to get an ovulation kit and test on the days the kit advises you to. If you think you aren't ovulating after all of that, then I would go to the Dr. and they can see if you are truly not ovulating and give you some meds they may help you with that. Good luck to you!

If you are having a period, you are ovulating. Sometimes it just takes time. The level of yeast in your body is what creates that discharge. A lot of times it has to do with what you ate. The amount of yeast your body made naturally, and what starchy foods you have. Have fun making your baby!!!!

You dont always get that discharge when ovulating. You should make an appt with your GYN to make sure that everything is in order for pregnancy if you are having trouble conceiving.

If you don't ovulate, you won't get your period. Sometimes the discharge is more obvious, or sometimes it just passes when you go to the toilet at night and didn't notice.
