the unknown. Remember, humans fear what they do not understand. Using religion rhetoric and propaganda, Bin Laden, Bush and the rest of the terrorists are playing a cat and mouse game of power and corruption. If you really thought there was a war on terror, then why would the USG offer our Port Security, via a no-bid contract, to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) who told Bin Laden back in 1998 about our plan to blow him up? Why would the USG be in bed with the Saudi Royal family, the biggest financials backers of Anti-Democracy, Anti-US terrorism EVER? Why would George Bush use the "national secrets" excuse to Dismiss a Federal Civil Lawsuit filed by the Families of 9/11 Victims against the Saudis....as proof exists that the Royal Family themselves helped pay for Al Qaida. All this pseudo-War on Terrorism is doing is making the UK and US less free, less secure and open to all forms of domestic corruption. Using scare tactics and unethical media practices, those using the War on Terror are simply fulfilling their agenda for the real powers that be.

Terror is used as a means of control and the threat of terror has allowed the US govt to strip all US Citizens of various rights guaranteed to them under their constitution. How did the US govt do this - through the Patriot Act which now allows the govt to monitor your movements, invade your privacy and property without your knowledge and spy on everything that you do. It curbs your right to free speech through a threat of FBI questioning. How did the govt manage to get this Patriot Act through... well most senators and congressmen don't read the text of bills that they pass for starters. Then the govt issued daily but very vague threat warnings and terror warnings to make all US citizens feel like they needed their govt to protect them. All US citizens fell for it and allowed their rights to be taken away.
Terror is also used by our so called morally correct govts. Is the bombing of Women and children terror? Of course it is.
Remember who defines terror - the govts of our countries. They are hardly going to admit that they are the ones doing the terrorising!!!

"We have nothing to fear, but fear itself," said Roosevelt. "Men in fear are fools, and fool themselves."
The point of terror is to paralyze ones "enemy" into actually believing that they are in mortal danger. Roosevelt knew that, and the author of the second quote (I believe, St. Thomas of Aquinas) observed it. It's called Psych-out in the athletic world.
Now, the people currently in charge of governments that constantly repeat the word, or insinuate the immanence of such, are controlling their populations through this activity.
Just think about it, what do you do when you are really scared? If you're like most humans, you act impulsively without much thought, and your actions, in the long run, usually don't serve your best interests.
I'd have to say, if you want to control a population, you can use religion (making an angry God/fear of going to "hell" "God told me to"), or "create" an enemy that can be invoked when things aren't particularly going your way, therefor terrorizing your constituency. Hitler was great at it. He arranged for a major German government building to be burned, blamed it on an "enemy", and was able to rally the public to back his cause(which in reality was an attempt at empire building) and begin a major war of aggression throughout Europe.
Just give it some thought.

The terrorists are saying that they are doing it for God, or Allah. However, as I'm a born-again-Christian, I can only say that their actions are not very God-like. Until we get the "Muslim Extremist" problem stamped out in the U.K and the U.S.A. as well as every other country, they think they are spreading fear into everyone and hoping to force people to turn to their way of thinking, which is a very distorted version of what Jesus Christ tells us in the Bible about killing.
However, if we hold on to our Faith in Jesus Christ, we will never have fear of them and we shall see the terrorists defeated, and believe me they will all have to meet their Maker, and for them.....it will be too late!
So, in effect, while we stay united in the war against terrorists, instead of running away from them, it is they who have already lost.

The terrorists try to scare us, intimidate us, terrorize us because we are different, successful.
I was half mile from The Pentagon on 9/11/01, and I will tell you that the terrorists will not scare me.
