with Thanksgiving coming up we wanted to do something special for our parents to let them know we are pregnant with our first child. Anyone have any cute ideas? We thought about making cards and writing a poem or something but wanted to see if there were other cute ideas. Thanks!

When we were pregnant with our second child we announced it at our son's 1st birthday party. We had him unwrap a t-shirt that said 'I'm the BIG brother" They got the idea ;)
You can do something similiar with a "I love my daddy" bib or something. Or hand out "worlds greatest gramma/grandpa" bibs/shirts.

My Husband and I are trying to concieve and I will know a few weeks before Thanksgiving if I am pg and I was thinking that it would be really cute to decorate a pie with "we are pregnant!" or something like that. so when dinner is just about ready they will uncover the pie and see the secret message and be surprised. Cover it with something not see through of course. but I thought It would be a cute idea

The best way that I have heard recently:
Buy some little booties, wrap them in a small gift box, give them to one of the parents when you arrive.
Buy a couple of bibs and wrap them also, give to the other parent
Give an explanation of "Just for the heck of it" when they ask "what for?"
Have them open them when all is calmed down such as after dinner....
Let them put two and two together...

I think a subtle card would be in order. Let them see something that will tell them but for which they need to think for a second or two. This will sweeten the surprise. Perhaps with just a picture of baby booties on the front.

What is better than to just tell them. This is a great moment in your lives. Do you want the delivery of the message to overshadow the actual message?
Over Thanksgiving Dinner, why not just say, "Next year at this same time, our family will have another blessing to be thankful for. Our baby will arrive sometime around (due date).

my aunt took everyone out to eat and her dad and father in law always order steak so she told the waiter to put a pacifier under like the roll on their plates it was a little funny at first because we thought he had a old plate but then we understood it was so cool and also you could like she did for her fourth child she gave the same people a bag with a baby outfit in it and they were so shocked but you could also like make a dinner for them with all things like baby carrots and baby peas not actually baby food but you know what I'm talking about girl I'm happy your pregnant i cant have kids so maybe these will work for you.

My girlfriend found out she was pregnant during they holidays. They ended up giving each grandparent a gift such a #1 Grandpa coffee cup with little booties in them.

You could get a little Cornish hen and put next to the big cooked turkey and do some kind of take off with that.

Here is what you do you go up to them and say we need to talk. Set down with them and say you know how much we love each other and you know we love you alot to. but there is something that we must tell you. we are going to be starting a family of our own now. but we would love it if you where there to help us.

I dont think there are any cute ideas, just tell them when you are all seating down eating. That will be a great surprise for all. Good luck and congrats!!
