As you get older Shane you'll realise that there is truth in the saying "If elections changed anything they would be banned"
History teaches us lots........I'm afraid this is the way it has always been in the UK.

The government has been telling us lie, after lie, pretty much since it was formed. The reason is because some peopl just go crazy. Like, you know certain people that everytime they hear of a new disease they flip out and think they have it. well this is sorda like that. There are people in this world that would absolutely flip out and destroy a lot fo things. The government needs to lie to keep the world sane i know it sucks and im fed up with it but thats how it will always be. Like evolution and cration, it more likely we evolved but for the extremely religious people they would cause so much chaos if we found proof thsat god didn exist.

I would say be careful of what you read and listen to in the media. The media always put an angle on any story and are selective with what facts they give the general public.
Remember the recent story about that small child in Leicester who was mauled by a dog ... suddenly we are led to believe children all over britain are being mauled my dogs... because the media only focus on one type of story.
So if the media only want to report about lies from the labour party, soon people start to believe that the only thing the labour party do is lie - it's not the whole picture.

there is a massive civil servant establishment at no 10 and the houses of parliament which exists to 'help' the prime minister run the country
under labour, it has grown so big that there are now as many as 13 layers of civil servants and they are being used to help the government stay in power rather than run the country (governing to stay in power, purely for the sake of it)
its funny but labour did it the 1950s when they were in power with the food rationing as well

I just had to share this with you, a few years ago, when I was in College as a Mature Student, we were told, by one of our Tutors that "There is no such thing as an honest politician!"
I don't know if you watch Question Time, but when a politician is asked a direct question, which needs a yes or no answer, they twist everything around by answering the question with a question.
As one member of last weeks panel said, "This program should be called, Don't Answer A Question Time".

ALL political parties tell lies, otherwise you wouldn't vote for them, you just ahve to pick the party you think will be the best. The majority of voters vote for a single political party, and never change, doesn't matter what they do, which is why it is so difficult for the third party to make real headway.

They tell lies just like every other political party tells lies, theyr'e just stupid enough to get caught doing it on a regular basis. Peoples impressions of political parties aren't swayed by what they do, its swayed by what they get found out for doing, the clever ones make damn sure anything dodgy stays well buried, look at John Major and Edwina Currie, they were at it like bunnies for years but it only came out when she blabbed to help sell her book. They were smart enough to not get caught, 3 jags i'll smack you in the gob fat bastard Prescott wasn't quite so smart, though why any woman would want to shag that chunk of dump is beyond me.

because they are politicians
people look and see the problems with, the country...
the politicians are lying cheating and stealing and they say "this isn't good, i must change this"
they become a politician and have to lie cheat and steal their way into power.
on the way to power they forget their original goals and power becomes the goal, and then they lie cheat and steal more to keep themselves there.
