I am on the pill and have been for 4 years, everythings always been fine. I always take it at the right time etc, but this month im worried as yes i had a period - a lot heavier than normal and only lasted 3 days (usually is 4-5) I have lost my appitite and my sleep is dreadful because i feel sick at night time.
I have depression so i know this affects my sleep and appitite as it always has done but im just worried.
Any help would be much appreciated!

The only way to be sure is to take a test. Like you, I was on the pill for years, but i still fell pregnant. The symptoms I had was no period for 6 weeks (then i took a test), sore boobs and like u sickness in the evening. As you have had a period, I'm a little inclined to think it could be to do with your depression. Having a heavy period could all be down to mother nature getting rid of any crap thats lying around in your womb (not ness a baby mind). If you are truley worried, then go to your doctor who will be better equipped to help and advise you. You might even need to change the type of pill you are on.......

Please dont worry too much though as stress can make things worse. I hope you get things sorted soon.

It could be possible but it is more likely that with the added horomones or stress in your body is changing your cycle. I had an early, fairly short period this past month, but I know that it was due to a lot of stress I've been experiencing. If you can't wait to find out, then wait until about a week before you're supposed to get your period and purchase a First Response Early Pregnancy test and take it just to be sure. I usually keep at least one on hand if I get nervous!

I was on the pill when i got pregnant with my first. I was a coil baby (my mum had the coil in when she got pregnant with me)...

contiception is good but never a sure thing.

when on the pill you may miss a period or 2. get a test to make sure, the pill can be harmful to babies.

hope it works out the way you want.

you should look into your pill if you have a negative pregnancy test. i was on the same pill for four years and gradually my body got used to it and i had very heavy though short periods. i was put on another pill straight away which i had no problems with and my periods went back to normal. (am pregnant again now though... ooops!!! but because of not taking it!)

If you have taken the pill correctly there is absolutely no reason why you should be pregnant especially if you had a period. You should consult your G.P. about the sickness. It sounds as if you need to ask questions about general health and well-being. ood luck.

Always have vegetables on side. Saute a big bag of frozen mixed vegetables in essential olive oil and garlic. Add some red pepper or even turmeric for additional flavor and separate into portion-sized containers for your fridge.

With breakfast, go ahead and drink orange juice. But throughout all of those other day, focus on water as an alternative to juice or soda

Are your dishes too big? A healthy dinner should fit with a 9-inch plate. You may discover that kid-sized plates are more appropriately sized to feed a grown-up!
