LOL. It's odd you mention that. This morning, I heard a lady talking to her co worker on the way to work about her 7 year old breaking up with his girlfriend this past weekend. They'd gone on about 5 'dates' already, and noone saw the breakup coming... Apparently, the girl couldn't "draw well enough"... lol. I wanted to say, "Lady, why does your 7 year old son have a girlfriend to begin with?! He should be into Pokemon or something or the other"... lol

I've got colleagues blethering around me at all times, and due to my own telephone conversations I hardly follow any conversation as I probably should. I never really think about what they're talking about, unless I hear my name. I know it's mostly technical support stuff, or chats about wifes kids and holidays. I'd rather try to suck on a cigarette using one ear while stuffing a banana in the other, than focus it on talks like that.

Quite amusing actually, I can't think of any interesting conversations of other people, but I know of one where I was involved in and someone walked by and had that reaction. I train assistance dogs and I was at a Barnes & Noble bookstore with a co-worker and both of the dogs we were training and she came up to me and said "I'm going to go find her some grass" (meaning she was going to go outside and let the dog do it's business) and this woman walked by and had this horrid look on her face, she though my co-worker meant she was going to go find some weed for the dog!

It is about as amusing as the bits of conversations that pass here as questions and answers. No, I don't wonder what "They" are talking about.

I am a big fan of the tidbits I overhear as I work (in a used bookstore). People are my favorite source of free entertainment. One thing I overheard that I've never forgotten was when a man said to his friend, "I have a teenaged daughter who has forgotten I exist, a wife who refuses to speak to me, and a boss who expects me to pull miracles out of my *ss. This is NOT what I wanted to be when I grew up." I've always wondered what happened to that man.......
