I use Microsoft Windows XP Prof., an I downloaded all two beta versions of IE7 and their final version. None of my "favorites were lost if the installtion was installed without errors.
If this is a new install from reformatting, something that I experience six months ago when I switched from Windows 2000 Server NT Technology to XP Prof.
I was very shocked that all of my "favorites", were not saved by Yahoo. Not even "MyWeb". The only webpages that were saved were the ones in my "Bookmarks".
I wrote Yahoo an as usual they came back an told me how to retrieve my "bookmarks". They avoided answering my question about "favorites", or "My Web". Either they are dump or just don't want you to know that they don't save "favorites", or "My Web", with a reformat.

Excuse my english.

Your fav's are still in your computer. You might need to go thru and find them. Or you can try to do the restore point thing and bring your cpu back to a time before you installed the explorer. But yet... uninstall the program.

dear sandra try using system restore on your computer up to the point you actually installed yahoo, then check your favorites in your old browser and see if your favorites box contains your old information when your computer rolls back to the point when you had them installed in your internet browser.
