There wasn't a "band". It was just "Gary Glitter". He's famous for Rock-n-Roll Part 2, which has been regularly played at sporting events for a few decades. But now...he's nothing more than a POS rotting in a Vietnam prison.
Chalk up one more entertainer who's completely worthless as being a "role model". People need to wake up and realize that entertainers should NOT have "role model" status or be glorified in our world any longer...

He has quite a history: He started as a soloist named Paul Raven then went on in the following groups: Mike Leander Show Band, Boston International, Rubber Bucket, Glitter Band, Brownsville Station & Timelords. The he was busted for child pornogrophy in the late 90's.
